Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist at Ecolab, Inc., Saint Paul, MN

Position Description

Ecolab is seeking candidates for a Senior Marketing Communication Specialist for their Vehicle Care Division. The position will be primarily responsible for providing marketing communication leadership for assigned segments and programs and services to support division's growth goals.
This position will include heavy involvement in development of internal and external marketing communications plans and execution, as well as a focus on event marketing and brand merchandising. This person will act as a liaison between divisional marketers, field sales and corporate account sales teams, and corporate marketing to ensure that communications are consistently managed to reflect our overall Ecolab strategy, branding and messaging.

This position requires a broad background in marketing communications planning and tactical execution. The person in this role will work collaboratively with cross-functional groups including sales, learning and development, operations, sales support and R&D.

Main Responsibilities

• Create and Produce a Diversity of Communications - Work with divisional marketers to Create and execute strategic marketing communications plans to meet annual business objectives, including both internal and external communications such as brochures, sales tools and coaching documents, articles, videos, advertising, website, direct to customer campaigns, customer specific materials, training, incentives and other elements of the promotional mix.
  Multi-media approach utilizes various platforms including print, e-mail, and digital (i.e.Exact Target, FrontPage and SiteCore, among others).


• Merchandising - Assist in development and management of consumer facing brands - Rain XBlue Coral, Black Magic - and merchandising product offerings.


• Graphic Design - Provide graphic design assistance utilizing Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop in production of internal, external and consumer facing elements.


• Brand Building - Proactively suggests communication strategies and tactics that deliver against product / business / corporate objectives and enhance the Ecolab and consumer brand reputations and experiences.
  Evaluates messages and creative against brand strategies to ensure consistency.


• Tradeshows and Events - Responsibility for management and executing the division's trade show and event plan including recommendations around design and communications; responsibility for trade show and event budgets.
  


• Product Management Support - Assist in product and label maintenance within the product spec system to support product and program offering.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field


• Five or more years of professional experience


• Demonstrated success in leveraging all aspects of the marketing communication mix such as print materials, event planning, and campaign design and implementation


• Strong writing and communication skills, ability to interface effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within the organization


• Strong familiarity with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate or better ability to use Exact Target, FrontPage, SiteCore


• Business to Consumer marketing experience


• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently as well as in team atmospheres when handling multiple tasks



• Ability to manage cross-functional teams


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
