Senior Human Resources Manager at Allegis Group Service, Hanover, MD

Reporting to the HR Director, the Sr. Human Resources Manager is directly responsible providing employee relations support for Allegis Corporate Services, Allegis Group Services and Stephen James Associates. Further, the Sr. HR Manager will partner with the HR team and other partners to analyze, address, and support the strategic initiatives of HR for Allegis Group. This position will be a combination of functional, management, and strategic work supporting Allegis Group’s overall business and overall company strategy and goals. The Sr. Manager will also have leadership oversight of the HR Records and Immigration functions and the development of those teams. Essential Functions: - Provide direct Employee Relations support for Allegis Corporate Services, Allegis Group Services and Stephen James Associates - Dispense Employee Relations counsel/advise - Investigate and address employee grievances and conduct internal investigations - Attend government agency fact-finding conferences and mediations - Counsel ACS and emerging OPCO leadership in handling performance management - Investigate and provide written response to government agency charges. - Participate in HR and strategic projects, (i.e., Customer Engagement Survey ) - Partner with the Director of HR to analyze and use HR data to support the needs of Allegis Group - Align HR processes and services to the strategic needs of the Operating Company customers - Oversee the HR compliance needs of ACS and the emerging OPCOs, including butnot limited to State and Federal employment law changes, OFCCP and California specific legislation and training - Responsible for the Information Security policies within ACS and the emerging OPCOs, including records retention policy and process - Partner with OpCo’s on strategic HR issues - Manage multiple functional HR departments such as Records and Immigration. - Build and maintain strong relationships with Operating Company customers - Create and facilitate various HR related training for employees (including performance management, and progressive discipline) Supervisory or Management Responsibility: - Manage a staff of 3-5, immigration, and records departments - Will be responsible for performance management of groups Minimum Education and/or Experience: - BA/BS, in Human Resources or related field, Master’s Degree or HR Certification preferred. - 5-7+years experience in Human Resources and Management, preferably with an emphasis in ER and Strategic Human Resources - Computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Use of PeopleSoft a plus Requisite Abilities and/or Skills: - Current knowledge of HR practices and Employment Law. - Must be able to handle multiple projects, be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision - Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with leadership - Prior Management experience preferred. - Strong attention to detail - Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills - Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving abilities - Must be able to represent ACS and the emerging OPCOs in a positive manner both internally and externally - Ability to respond in a constructive and neutral manner in adverse situations Special Requirements of the job: - Travel as necessary (approximately 10 %)
