We are currently seeking a HR Specialist in our Jacksonville, FL office. This individual is responsible for many Human Resources functions and will work closely with the Information Technology Department. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required to complete many of the job’s functions.


Duties for the HR Specialist position consist the following:

  • Timely and accurate processing of all personnel transactions pertaining to HR Payroll
  • Monitoring the administration of personnel policies and practices, ensuring consistent and equitable treatment
  • Create and maintain reports using ADP’s ReportSmith
  • Develop highly specific reports for proposals using Microsoft Excel
  • Work to maintain database integrity between HRIS systems
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other data programs to import and verify data across HRIS systems
  • ADP Payroll / HRB system administration of new hires and terminations
  • Implementation of company’s annual performance management program
  • Maintenance of company vacation, personal leave and sick bank balances
  • Processing employment verifications, garnishments, unemployment claims, tuition reimbursement
  • Immigration processing and tracking for all current and prospective foreign national associates
  • Annual I-9 auditing and E-Verify compliance
  • Maintaining labor law poster compliance for nationwide offices
  • Preparation and submission of annual Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), EEO-1 and Veteran Reporting
  • Oversees the Workers Compensation and maintains OSHA reporting using Microsoft Excel and HRIS databases
  • Interpreting and applying all federal and state employment laws, agency regulations, EEOC compliance
  • Coordinate with IT department to develop solutions to tracking, handling, and editing personnel data
  • Develop tools using macros in Microsoft Excel
Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • At least two years of experience
  • Superb skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel and Access. The ability to manipulate data in Excel is vital to this position. Creative thinking with Excel is also a must.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities
  • Must be multi-task oriented, attention to detail, able to take initiative, have strong communication skills, maintain confidentiality and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong problem solving and math skills
