Position Summary and Essential Duties:

Working under the supervision of the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resource Generalist will perform generalist functions that include benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, LOA admin, recruiting, performance management, and assist with various HR projects as directed.  The Human Resource Generalist acts as a key team member supporting the Human Resource function within the company.

 

Additional Duties:


•         Assists with recruitment & sourcing for exempt and non-exempt openings


•         Ensures completion of all new hire paperwork and system set up for all new hires.  Updates HRIS system for new hires and employee changes (i.e. change of address, benefits, pay and position changes, etc) and coordinates changes with payroll and benefit providers


•         Conducts new hire orientation and exit interviews


•         Acts as a key point of contact for employees regarding benefits administration and issue resolution.  Answers routine benefit questions for managers and employees, as well as assists with problem solving.


•         Ensures all necessary processes and documents are completed for workers comp claims, short-term disability claims, leaves of absence, etc.


•         Maintains files, forms, and databases associated with personnel, benefits, immigration, and general information and recruiting


•         Supports the administration of employee benefits, performance appraisals, COBRA, and FMLA including working with relevant TPAs to ensure tasks are being carried out


•         Processes employee terminations including notifying applicable parties (i.e. payroll, IT, etc), coordinating COBRA notifications, terminating employee in HRIS and other applicable systems


•         Will provide HR support to various employee work groups as directed by the Manger of Human Resources


•         Responsible for ensuring applications, new hire documentation,job descriptions, employee appraisals documents, and other relevant paperwork are up-to-date and consistent with current laws and corporate policy


•         Manages the processing of payroll and timekeeping as directed via ADP


•         Completes special HR projects as assigned within required deadlines

 

 

Minimum Requirements:


•         Bachelors degree required (Masters and/or SPHR, PHR or CEBS designation preferred)


•         4-6 years HR experience in a professional services firm


•         Experienced with ADP HRB, PayExpert and EZLM


•         Multi-state, Multi-location experience


•         Proficient working with ATS/E-Recruitment (SuccessFactors a plus)


•         Customer-service oriented, team player who is detail-oriented and able to multi-task


•         Must be comfortable working with employees at all levels in a growth oriented firm


•         Highly proficient working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and various Internet Job boards


•         Demonstrated ability to work, think, and act in a independent capacity with regards to performing HR duties


•         Experience in a “name brand” HR department


•         Must be a “self-starter” and highly motivated

 

Other:


•         Must be willing to work extra hours to meet specified deadlines


•         10-15% Travel may be required
