Job description:
.Net Applications Developer will create and maintain source code that translates business requirements into custom business solutions. Plans, builds, tests and implements source code and solutions. Assists with problem analysis, reports findings, and recommends solutions. Teams with Operations to deploy software solutions for use by internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides software development and support for the company's business solutions within a defined Software Development Lifecycle
- Function in all aspects of the development life cycle including design, development, unit testing and documentation
- Determines implementation approach for new and existing business solutions
- Modifies and maintains internal business solutions
- Provides technical support and technical advice regarding software implementation to users and business analysts.
- Creates solution software code, tests, implementation plans and system documentation.
- Works with applications related to the overall IT system, such as disk maintenance, system startup, operational software packages, configuration and user access procedures
- Trains co-workers when needed
- Prepare functional requirements based on project requests from business units
- Work with and assist QA with test cases and testing
- Some on-call support may be expected
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science or a related business field; or minimum 5+ years experience in the application development/software engineering field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development or software engineering
- Minimum 4+ years of web development experience with .Net
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in relational database development
Preferred skills:
- Experience in the financial industry
- Prior experience working in agile methodology
- Experience developing in one or more of the following -
Authoring web solutions in ASP.Net
Experience with WCF and WWF
Experience with XML and XML Schemas
Experience with Visual Studio
Experience authoring with HTML
ExtJS and ExtJS Designer
AjaxControlToolkit for .Net and ControlExtenders
Java development experience a plus
Implementation with Javascript, Javascript.prototype and JSON
Oracle, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures
Implementing RESTful services
ETL tools, Informatica , Crystal Reports or other reporting tools a plus
- Experience developing for a componentized portal architecture
- Basic understanding of HTTP and Networking
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Skilled in problem solving and analytical reasoning
- An eagerness to learn about the payment processing industry
